Improve the service life of diesel engine cylinder liner six magic words, one cannot be missing!

1, correct maintenance and maintenance of the air filter system


The failure of air filter system will form the wear of cylinder liner, so that the life of cylinder liner is greatly reduced, so there are high requirements for air filter, use multi-stage high efficiency air filter.


Check and clean the dust of each part often, make sure it is clean inside and outside, replace the damaged parts in time to avoid abrasive particles into the cylinder liner. Ensure the sealing of the filter and suction hose connection, and ensure that the supercharger compressor outlet to the cylinder head between no air leakage.


2、Control of machine temperature


The corrosion and wear of the cylinder liner depends largely on the working temperature of the diesel engine. Tests show that when the coolant temperature drops to 40-50 ℃, the cylinder liner wear will be 5-6 times the normal wear, and mainly corrosion wear, so keep the cooling system working temperature does not exceed 90 ℃, will greatly limit the sulfur vapor condensation on the cylinder liner wall, so as to reduce the purpose of corrosion.


3、Diesel engine lubricant quality and viscosity selection


Diesel engine should be selected according to the instruction manual of CC and CD or above, that is, according to the reinforced strength of diesel engine and working environment temperature.


4、Cavitation of cylinder liner outer surface and anti-freeze coolant


Gas combustion in the cylinder, the piston in addition to reciprocating linear motion in the cylinder will also have left and right swing, so that the cylinder liner serious vibration. At this time and the cylinder liner contact with the cooling water in the vibration of the bubble. After a long time, the cylinder liner outer circle generated many pockmarks, gradually expand the formation of pores, resulting in penetration of the cylinder wall. In order to prevent the cylinder liner cavitation, in addition to the design and manufacture of measures, from the point of view of maintenance and repair also do the following work.

(1) reduce the impact of the piston on the cylinder liner, under the condition of ensuring the basic lubrication, the clearance between the piston and the cylinder liner should be as small as possible, while in the assembly to ensure the verticality of the center of the cylinder liner.


(2) pay attention to the selection and replacement of antifreeze coolant, choose anti-corrosion, anti-corrosion performance of qualified products, the use of frequent inspection, replacement time should not exceed two years.


5, cylinder liner, piston connecting rod group and crankshaft combined with the correct installation and use of the group


Should be strictly in accordance with the provisions of the diesel engine manual. First of all, ensure the cleanliness of the cylinder liner and body parts and the assembly clearance of each part, the same diesel engine piston, connecting rod weight should be consistent as far as possible, do not exceed the tolerance, and to ensure that all kinds of bolts, nuts tightening torque value.


Crankshaft combined with the group in the process of use, to pay attention to the torsional vibration damper failure, the bearing clearance is not worse, to avoid causing abnormal vibration of the crankshaft, accelerate the early wear of the piston connecting rod group and cylinder liner.


6, reasonable choice of break-in specifications


New or overhauled diesel engine in formal use before, according to the provisions of the operating instructions for break-in, general break-in operation after 60h, before putting into full load use. The purpose of break-in is to improve the working condition of the moving parts of the diesel engine, improve reliability and service life. During the break-in period, the load is 50%-80% and the speed is not more than 80% of the nominal speed, and care should be taken not to run at idle speed for a long time. The oil must be changed carefully after the break-in period is completed. Avoid high idling conditions and overload operation during normal use.
