Failure caused by low oil pressure

Fault phenomenon: The diesel engine starts normally. The oil pressure indication is low when running at high and low overall speeds. The low oil pressure alarm occurs when running at low overall speeds.

Failure analysis: The factors causing low diesel engine oil pressure are:

1. The engine oil level is low:

2. The oil filter is clogged;

3. The engine oil grade is too low and the viscosity is wrong;

4. The oil pump is damaged:

5. The oil pressure gauge or oil pressure sensor is damaged.

Troubleshooting method: 1. Add engine oil to the standard oil level (the oil level is between the first and second scale lines of the oil dipstick);

2. Replace the oil filter element;

3. Replace qualified engine oil according to standards;

4. Inspect and replace the oil pump;

5. Repair and replace the oil pressure gauge or oil pressure sensor
